If you have a AMD cpu and AMD gpu.....
I just bought the 60$ version and installed it. Then I load it up and am running a solid 5 fps on a brand new 9800x3d and 7900xtx. After doing some googling I finally found a post telling me to disable my cpu's onboard graphics.

I'm sorry but this is unacceptable to me. You're telling me in our current year of my lord and savior Jesus Christ your game can't distinguish between my gpu and cpu's video? Now If my gpu does crap out I won't be able to use my mobo's video port. What happens after a year and I've forgotten I disabled it?

I just can't imagine it's that hard to diagnose and fix a bug that is obvious. Please fix this. Tyvm

Just ask for a refund, things like these are highly unlikely cause Paradox games are made differently.

PEBCAK

I'm pretty sure there is a setting in Windows and/or in AMD Adrenalin, that will force your dedicated GPU to be used in games. You don't need to disable the iGPU in bios, but even if you had to, it's not a big deal. I done that on my old intel rig and never had a problem with not remembering.

I'm running a full AMD rig as well currently, but my CPU does not have a integrated GPU at all, so...

I always keep and old, but functional GPU after I upgrade, incase the one I'm using daily gives out, and I need an video output of some kind.
In that regard you're better off than me, and I still don't see that as an issue. *shrug*

This not a CPU/GPU thing; this is a laptop thing.

It's VERY common for games to require the player to manually select the dedicated GPU and/or disable the integrated graphics prrocessor when gaming on a laptop.

Can confirm. For some games i had to do that months after starting playing them.

Now its the first thing i do when i notice performance issues. Works quite well.

.
You can see the OP is running a 9800x3d. That is not a laptop CPU... he's on a desktop.
But still, simillar rules apply.

Thanks, I'll see if I can find that setting in adrenaline.

It's in Windows graphics settings. It gives you a list of your applications including games, and you need to set each of them to use your GPU instead of relying on any sort of automatic choices.

This is unfortunately the downside of having iGPU along with a GPU. Happens to Intel users too.

So ridiculous that with a monster gaming CPU like the 9800x3d Windows defaults to the iGPU; I'm sure the attach rate of external graphics cards to that CPU is 100%. Not even clear why AMD bothered with onboard graphics for that CPU...
