Folks play and some have issues and some don't as far as I can tell. I'm tempted to play online for once, but i'll wait tell it sounds like sync bugs are mostly stomped out to play.
I have only played asynchronous turns, never simultaneous (the latter was broken at release; not sure about now.
No real bugs in asynchronous. Just won a Very Large map yesterday! Lasted to turn 100 or so.
Giving up on multiplayer mode and multiplayer games was one of the better decision I ever made.
Exception being actual friends, not "steam friends".
The fix button, seems useless, turn is reload but still buggy.
Tried a 2nd game, still bugged in 1st turn.
Is it due to one of the player having an old computer ? I don't know but it's ridiculous that the game is still unfixed after 1 year and a half.
Great game, good idea on the multiplayer asynchronous, but they didn't try enough.
Edit : Tried a little more, we still have bugs but it's better...
to avoid getting many desyncs you must have everyone with at least a good fibre connection and avoid as much as possible manual combat...
:/
