Ambitions are very annoying to manage
Maybe i'm alone in this but honestly the skill tree rework isn't even the worst offender in this update.
I want to back to more abstract and self managing governor system that doesn't bother me with pop ups constantly because my 4th hero has decided that being a part of the doomstack isn't fulfilling and he needs to go clear an infestation in the corner of the map or something.
I enjoyed this the first couple of times, but now im just dreading needing to do it again in my next 80+ turn game.

You can just mostly ignore them and be fine if you don't find the system fun. They won't pop up that often and there are no penalties for just keeping one you don't actually do (besides not getting the bonuses)

i run no mods and enjoy them, sometimes i want them swapped they had everything i want except ambitions, but it doesnt seem to popup too often to be an issue with me. i wish we had more options instead of stay or 2 changes tho...

Pretty sure that quest that lets you change their ambition only happens once per ambition. If you don't change it, I don't think it pops up again, but if you do change it, it can happen again.

Also I'm pretty sure it only triggers in the first place if you're making little/no progress on that hero's ambition.

It can be pretty weird at times, I once hired a hero with the ambition to fight with my ruler.

It triggered the SECOND TURN I had them. Jeez, be patient I'm moving you towards my ruler from town

I like them, but I wish I could see them in battle or somewhere in the UI, when you have something like 5 heroes it's hard to remember who wants to do what, specially in combat, which one should be trying to get that last hit on a demon or hero again?

you can do that in the heroes tab at the top left of the screen, just hover over them

You should at least be able to take the starting one for your leader.

You can pick in leader creation, except a few OP ones are excluded as options

They are.
And i love it.
Because now i accauly have to care what hero i take instead of making the same copy over and over again.

Limits exist to be overcome.

That's because the skill tree re-work is an excellent change.

You can ignore them if you don't want to do them.
They are not mandatory to do, and the hero wont leave you or w/e. Just when you get the popup to either change or keep your ambition, you can just keep the one you've got, and keep on ignoring it.
You'll just miss out on some bonuses, that's it.

Hero rework has been a blast and brought new life to the game for me. The Ambitions have been semi fun, i tend to ignore them most the time. Not sure why dreading something you can ignore is even an issue some how?

Like everyone else, I just ignore them. What makes it sad is they wasted development time on something that I feel like most people are going to ignore. Its way to circumstantial to get these done, and frankly way too time consuming. Id rather just conquer my enemies instead thanks.

You’re pretty nuts to ignore then, they offer a ton of good bonuses and are generally pretty easy to complete. Im lovin them

The issue is that developers can't expect anyone to constantly keep track of anything that's not constantly in front of them, on their screen.

Nobody's going to open each one of their heroes every couple of turns to remember/figure out which one should be doing what.

I often do my first 2 heroe's ambitions, after that they tend to get completely ignored.

Any with very specific requirements, like personally killing X also gets ignored from the start.
