Oath of Strife - Expand

Can Oath of strife take a second city? I know they are not supposed to take vassals, and it may just be I murder everyone, but I thought I might be able to take a second city and do something other than raze it. I can't even upgrade an outpost to a city. It is an interesting way to play, but I'd like to see if I'm missing something.

Are you playing as chosen destroyer? Theres no other reason you shouldn't be able to found a city

You can do anything you want with oathsworn strife, you just lose devotion, it's not like it's hard to cap
Making alliances will lose you devotion, but capturing the city with military is fine, just don't use your whispering stone

If you play with Chosen Destroyers or Megacities Map Modifier, you can't have more than one city. It has nothing to do with Oath of Strife.

Can build new cities and capture other cities with Oath of Strive just fine. It sounds if you have either the chosen Destroyer Society Trait or are playing on a map with the megacity modifier, both of which limit you to only one city.

I see I was playing with the Megaira The Scalded group and they have the Chosen Destroyer's trait. Thanks I thought that seemed a bit odd, but I'm glad to understand what happened. :D

yes you can have multiple cities(unless you pick a specifik faction trait) but at some point you just wont have imperium to expand into more cities so you end up burning them down where normally you would hand the city over to your vassals.

Im not a huge fan of evil factions but I wanted to try them out so when I played strife I "solved" this by playing on a medium map with only 4 AI and seals active. Their drawback does not really come to play much on that scale.

Honestly from watching the dev stream it kinda seems like strife is designed *only* for chosen destroyers (IIRC they didn't actually take it in the stream but still behaved like they did). That playstyle doesn't really appeal to me but TBF there are two other options just in Ways of War.

I enjoy playing my strategy game as a roll play where I have a single squad taking over the world. To that end burning everything down makes it easy.... lol...
