Did dragons or dragon lords get buffed in the past 2 months
I havent played in a bit, did they get some love? Outside of being a good artillery unit the dragonlord felt squishy and dragons were..rather meh. Gold breath was useful though and so is tail smash.

Having recently played one.
If they did i didnt see it.

For a dragon they are still very fragile and there breath weapon is meh.

The only reason i see myself playing one is to turn them into heroes for my wizard king.

Obviously if they are buffed now, they were weaker before. Now they're probably the most powerful ruler type possible in terms of direct damage and durability.

I've never had any issue winning games with a dragon lord; they never felt weak at all. The new rework saw more scaling and better damage, along with more health now. I haven't played one yet, but the changes look like Dragon lords more powerful overall.

idk but dragonlord is honestly ridiculously op lol. One of the signature skills actually turn the breath skill into literally mass revive spell without expending any casting point. It's ridiculous.

also don't take the breath skill that turn your breath into range attack. It's looks like the best choice but it actually absolutely garbage. AI will never put their troops in your firing range before making contact on your line, and since it cost 3 actions you will never get to shoot without hitting your own troops since you can't reposition for a shot. The cone shape breath you started out with is the best in slot for 99.9999% situations.

I dont have issus winning.
I just find them to easy to kill for a dragon.
When i think of dragon i think of city burning army wiping monsters.
Not dies to getting stab by a spearman 6 times.

Unless you are take one of the two signature skills that mean you want to hit your own troops.

Well, Spearmen are the counter unit for large units, and there needs to be SOME balance in the game, so of course, if you put your dragon inbetween multiple counterunits, they can die.
However, they are among the (properly skilled probably THE) strongest/most durable single unit in the game.
If you go Defender for endless counterattacks and lifesteal, you can kill full enemy 18-stacks with just your single Dragon.

I can not speak for the dragon lord as i do not play it since the update. But the normal dragons are usefull midgame (early they are most time to expensive, late game they are garbarge compared to tier 3/4 normal units with all the possible enchantsments)

Fair enough.
I never got to high level with a dragon lord.
I just find them boring.

I will try one out again and see if it feels different.

And yea i could win with them, but it took some caution. The +strengthened when a unit dies thing was great to build up to a big blast.

I haven't played AoW4 since launch so I missed dragons.

I'm using one in my current game, and the dragon lord is insane.

I just let her roam around soloing some stuff, unlocking a mostly crit/autoattack build with the upgraded fire breath and some fire (including purifying flames) tomes and that thing's moving around killing pretty much anything in one turn, 3 slaps which are often 3 crits can take down any target, then you get an AP refresh, can use a mobility skill (forgot the name) to move a bit firter and often finish off another target, or hit several targets with the tail.

I don't have any other heroes half as strong as Tohru in this playthrough.

Didn't even try to minmax or anything, it's just chaos, Primal dragon (to avoid apearance changes), going the right skillpath taking all the crit bonuses until the last skill to refresh AP.

Ya they were questionable at release, they were buffed a little after that to be decent. This current version buffed them heavily again and makes them bonkers strong. Other heroes are also strong though, dragons are just about being an extremely powerful single unit, while a lot of the say champion/hero power is stack buffs making other units stronger. Like a hero can add something like +50 max health to all other units in the stack now, which also feels OP. I think there's some balance there, everything feels OP right now, but once we get a handle on it all it's probably fine. Dragon lords are unquestionably the strongest single unit in the game though, as they should be.
