Multiple Monitors
Does anyone else have more than one monitor?
This is the only game I have that seems to choose a different monitor to open up on every single time I play it... Anyone else have the same issue?

I use 2 monitors but I have no problems with it. Don’t remember if I had such issues, only one isssue was in Planetfall (which is quite similar game), because it reversing my Display numbers. Maybe try to look at Launcher setting?

I have two monitors and have no issue. And I actively use both screens at once.

Heck, at one point even had a AOW and BG3 running at the same time. (Was hosting a BG3 game for a bunch of newbies, and they were extremely slow. So instead of rushing them I just chilled and played AOW4 while waiting. xD )

I use to have the issue. I fixed it by rearranging what port I had my monitor plugged into. If you open up your display settings in windows you can see your monitors labelled as 1 or 2 which is determined by what port they are plugged into. You want your gaming monitor to be plugged into port 1, which is probably the one on the left most side at the back of your pc.

I run a 5120x1440 and a 3440x1440. The 5120 is my main monitor and what I always play on. Never have had the issue you have.

I might mention that under Win10 I had huge issues with multi-monitor window instability, i.e. windows randomly switching from one monitor to the other on restart from sleep or hibernation. Win11 completely fixes that problem. Might be related to your problem.
I have three monitors and I get this problem all the time when starting the game. Its a gamble on what monitor it will be on.
Used to. Then one of 'em kicked the bucket. Miss those days.
I had this problem as well. I found a solution for me, but it is odd that I had to do this. Start up the game, and at the main menu go to:

Settings > Graphics

Second choice down it says Monitor. From there you can choose which monitor to start on, so I changed it to Display 2 and now it starts out on my main monitor again. Having it start on display 2 makes it show up properly on display 1. /shrug

It's really weird that it starting doing this, as I never had this problem before. Not sure what the issue is?

Win11 fixes a lot of multi-monitor window instability problems that plague Win10, especially when resuming from sleep or hibernation. In fact, that's what got me to upgrade from 10 to 11.

Well, I started playing this game on Win11 and it did not solve anything for me.
