I'd more more concerned about them having 4 limbs and walking upright. If it's OK for them to have an overwhelmingly humanized shape and stature, where do you draw the line about what is weird? My line is at naga tails. Though if I could also add wings to them then that would be some pretty funky chimera stuff, and tip back over into OK.

I fail to see the problem.
You can thank Triumph for making races cosmetic-only and putting zero effort in this.

Hillariously enough, Confucius told opposite.
Women and small men (halflings?!) are hard to deal with.
If you get too close to them, they will become impertinent; if you alienate them, they will hate you.

So do the lizards. This is the drawback to the modularity system. They have some outfits designed for a female form, and cultures use specifically male or female models for some units, which means their outfits often fit that form exclusively, so they have to fill that shape out to not have this big empty gap in the chest.

Yeah, because female human shaped non humans with breasts are a triumph invention and not a thing in videogames since, well, videogames.

Not sure how is this related to races being a low effort cosmetic only feature.

It's unlikely that it would be hard for them to change it to just use male models for bird/insect/lizard/toad. The hard part is animations that aren't based on 2 arms and 2 legs.

The problem isn't just swapping male bodies, the problem is all the units that are female and have outfits shaped for a female body. All those art assets would need to be remade to fit a male form.

You don't need to use a gender-swapped version of the same outfit, you just need an outfit, and there are already at least six male outfits for every culture anyway, just some are currently only used for heroes and leaders.

Lots of them don't have female versions of male outfits, and vice versa. You can check for yourself in the creation kit. They would have to add male versions of several outfits in order to be able to have female units with male bodies not look weird.

My point is... they don't need them. There's no need to use the same outfit, or even a similar outfit.
