Does "Ranged Attack" imply "magic ranged attack" as well as physical ranged?
The trait, "Quick Reflexes" says 25% harder to hit by ranged attacks. Wondering if that means bows AND magic missiles/wands/spells or just bow and crossbows?

Yeah, it applies to Physical and Magical ranged attacks. Magic Missile and other spells/abilities always hit though so it is mostly going to help with base attacks.

Basically any ranged attack (either physical or magical) against you that had a percent chance to hit (usually 90%) gets 25% less accuracy if you have quick reflexes. So it helps versus most archers and the base attack of most mages, but not against most mages' special attacks, which typically are guaranteed to hit.

(new to the game) so then when leveling up my ruler or heroes who use magic should i level up the archery skill? my current game the ruler uses the magic orb and i wasnt sure what skills applied to it.

my understanding is that the magic attacks are only improved by the magecrafting and similar skills. Archer is specifically for physical ranged attacks.

The description of archery specifically says "physical ranged attacks". The skill does absolutely nothing for mage heroes.

the tool tips on the skill do have things like physical, magical or none of those
for example archery 1 will only increase physical ranged attack, the arcane focus i believe it is will say increase magic attacks

there is one for T5 tome for metarium called ancient one which says 30% to damage or attack i dont remember the exact wording, those type of skills will increase both physical and magical dmg

so if it says physical/magical it will only increase that one if it does not say anything it is an all damage increase
