How does Arcane Inspiration Work?
Arcane inspiration seems like a cool mechanic to me, but where can I find out more about exactly how it works?

So far, I used it once on "summon wyvern fledglings" and couldn't see anywhere on the tooltip about what the effect on the spell would be. I was locked out of the spell for ten turns, then when I got it back I couldn't see how it was impacted in any of the descriptions.

It seems like I know summon them with an extra rank, but I am not entirely sure.

Where can I find descriptions about how arcane inspiration changes the core spells?

Also, side question. Do Eldritch Sovereigns benefit from Racial Transformations or are they like Dragon Lords in that regard?

When you mouse over the counter before exploiting it, it tells you exactly what the exploit will be.

And no, ES don't get racial transformations.

Here's an example. Conjure Tentacle is 2/3 inspiration (I've cast it twice). If I cast it one more time, I can exploit it by clicking on the little counter in the top corner of the spell. In this case, it will lock the spell for 10 turns and give me 10 turns of +10 knowledge income, as seen in the tooltip. The exploit is randomly determined when you get your first counter on a spell, and will change if you exploit it and then get inspiration for it again.

Eh, too much responsibility. But thanks.

Am I wrong, you're the same Midas who was on the AoW3 forums for years, etc?

Also, I might not be 100% correct on the no-transformations thing, because there seems to be some very specific and unexpected behavior in certain situations.

NORMALLY ES and Dragon rulers don't get racial transformations, however, if you start with the Umbral Desciples trait, the ES gets Umbral Flesh. I don't know if that's a bug, or some kind of unwritten exception.

So I asked because I noticed that my Eldritch Sovereign started with Umbral Flesh, but I chose Umbral Disciples.

Also, I thought ES may start with Umbral Flesh by default (it would make sense), but I wasn't sure.

I need to watch some tutorials on the new DLC because there are sooo many news things that I don't quite understand.

Like dissonance debuff and what overcharge means, etc.
