Quick gloom question
Is there a way to clear gloom if somebody casts the spell that fills your lands with the purple stuff?

Bump for answer maybe. I know you can take out the infestation on the other side of a gate and it will stop spreading like a monster camp but the gloom is the real question. How to clear gloom in your lands?

If it works like the gloom building then the only way to clear the gloom is to remove the source.
It will automatic return to previous without the source to spread it.

Any form of terraforming. Primal culture with a den, adaptation spells, spells from tomes, like tome of fertility, and so on.
If you don't have one - welp.

I think terraforming is the way it seems thank you

Does terraforming work? Gloom isn't a terrain it's a feature like mist. A tile can be grasslands, forest and gloom all at the same time. My first real attempt at the expansion was a primal spider culture that combined both forms of tile manipulation. The only roadblock I ran into was, there is no cave versions of gloom, so the game "bugs out" and turns cave terrain into overworld terrain like grasslands and forests when it's gloomed which messed with my faction. Otherwise the primal terrain spreader and gloom spreaders didn't seem to conflict, once a tile was gloomed it stayed gloomed.

Probably can be overwritten with another form of terraforming. Haven't tried it yet. Having too much fun watching beseiging armies wither away to nothing while attacking my cities.

I mean I hope you can get rid of it by terraforming but have not tested yet

The description for stuff like the altar says that if it's destroyed, the gloom will gradually go away.

What if the gloom was placed by the spell that has that effect?
