lets get the basic questions out of the way:
its a society trait, are you looking at the right list?
are you using any mods?
You have to complete game sessions (Victory or Defeat) and gain Pantheon Points upon doing so. Then at the top right you can spend Pantheon Points on rewards including Mana Addicts, in addition to other Society traits, weapon skins etc.
The fastest way to farm Pantheon Points is by completing very small and short maps with 1 enemy, because most points are rewarded for just winning.
You earn pantheon points at the end of every finished game (win or lose). You will earn more points based on things like how long the game went and what you accomplished, and there is a series of things you can spend these points on from your pantheon menu. There are new cosmetics, new weapon load outs, and the aforementioned society traits like mana addicts. There's one for each affinity.
Yep and that reminds me of a way to get even more points per map/hour. If you make a custom map that is small but also has a few Free Cities, playing a diplomatic faction can get you some easy +50-100 Pantheon points per Free City you accomplish things with (like allegiance gain and vassalization) by the end. I think just winning is about 200 points?
The thing is that these games i'm mentioning are basically 10-15 minutes long. If that. You just rush the enemy Leader/Throne City and just keep wracking up the points along the short trek. About 600+ if not more per session (I would have to check). Essentially I just did this this morning and got two Pantheon Points for 20-30ish minutes work, which was a longer session because I was experimenting with a build. Just doing stuff along the way and getting that big 200 exp reward + whatever else you did in that 10-15 minutes adds up quickly over and over again.
It's not really painstaking either (compared to full games just for the sake of Pantheon Points). It's a simple "guess where the enemy is and rush em" situation, drafting units as you go. One of the better ways to run these farm maps is to summon things along the route to ensure easy victory.
Of course this was a lot easier and faster with the exploit around release, where you didn't even have to fight a battle. All you needed to do was play around with the initial first encounter dialogue a certain way and the enemy leader would surrender lol. About 3 minutes to do each map with tailored mounted/fast moving leader/scouts.
The whole system could likely use some point distribution rework and even less front loaded points for a win. Dunno.
alternatively a long slog on rampant infestations will work, you'll rack up so many points its unreal just from clearing sites. Set gamespeed to slow and it turns into the infestations wiping everyone out hard.
lol I will try that out. Sometimes you do just want to play a fun game and not cheese so much while farming points.
Ya but I mean spending 10 hours playing an actual serious playthrough and having fun for 5000 points, compared to getting maybe 1000 points per hours just point farming and "not playing." I don't see that being worthwhile or enjoyable, and it's worth pointing out the points are easy enough to get that you don't have to do something like that. Of course everyone is free to do things as they please.
Winning was 500 before, now its only 200. Probably So people dont spam tiny 1v1 and win in a few turns.
