it makes buff and healing spells of that affinity more powerful.
Chaos: chaos buff and healing spells give targets +3 strengthened.
order: order buff and healing spells give targets +3 fortune
Astral: Astral buff and healing spells give targets +3 bolstered resistance
shadow: shadow buff and healing spells give targets +3 evasion
nature: Nature buff and healing spells give targets +10 temporary hit points
materium: materium buff and healing spells give targets +3 bolstered defense.
i found a lot of interesting stuff about the game, but sadly i didnt find the answer to this anywhere.`
i guess i will have to try this out ingame. might take some time before i can try it though, got a pretty busy schedule ahead.
i tried it with 1 spell from evolutions spellbook, it benefited from both the chaos and the nature matrix.
the spell i tried it with is from the tome of evolution, the spell: Youthful Rejuvenation
this spell should heal 18 and give strengthened 1x.
after i build the chaos matrix it gave me 4x strengthened and it healed for 18.
the chaos matrix seems to provide its bonus to this evolution spells
than i reloaded my save and build the nature matrix instead.
this time it gave the unit 1 stack of strengthened but healed it for 28, so nature also works
i have not tried any of the other spells, let alone the other tomes, but i am assuming that if it works for one spell it will work for all of them.
if you cast the Tome of beasts spell "call of the wild", it should normally give +2 bolstered defense and +2 stengthened to a cavalry or animal unit.
if you have the nature matrix than it wil give you those two things as well as healing +10 hitpoints.
if you build the nature matrix than any nature buffing or healing spell you cast will have the added benefit of healing 10 hp. if the spell already healed than it will heal 10 more.
if you build the materium matrix than the materium buffing or healing spells will have the added benefit of giving +3 bolstered defense. if the spell already gave bolstered defense than it will give it 3 more stacks.
The enemy has probably built a spell jammer province upgrade. You need to pillage it if you want to fight with him on his doman with normal mana cost.
