I've not played seals in AOW4 yet, so I am not sure if anything changed, but I did play them a lot in AOW3. They were the only game mode where the AI actually stood a chance. Because seals force the player to be proactive before they are ready.
You can't wait until turn 200 where you have some doomstack army that can't lose and every enchantment possible. You need to make your small, limited army work.
Dumb ass mauraders while im glad they are actually a threat compared to planetfall I entirely dislike how the Ai seems to be immune to their touch or at least ignored.
The number of seals is really high per world it feels. I keep seeing 8+ seals in medium worlds, shouldnt be more then 5 on a normal world and tbh Id rather it be " whomst ever has the most seals gets points".
As it stands now once one of the AIs gets enough seals held the rest tend to try to ally with them and stone wall the player. A side note I did think its neat that the seals get attacked but it feels like with the weird economy rules teh ai is playing by that it doesnt really feel like a proper dislodging method.
If you are doing poorly I can see it snowballing the game out of your control, making a comeback impossible. Its just like a difficulty setting I suppose, don't have it on if you don't like that.
