2. Not expanding fast. AOW4 is a surprisingly slow game with armies moving slower than a blind turtle. Therefore, I advise you to design your factions and strategies with rapid exploration and expansion in mind. At least for PvE.
3. Not savescumming. The location of all three quest objectives is partly random, so you can start with most of them in your backyard. You can even conquer both story cities before you get the quest.
4. Not going for magic victory :3 It only gets worse from here! In the fifth story scenario, your enemy is going to go for magic victory REALLY fast. Even faster than in this one. So take this into account from the very beginning. Be the first one to achieve it.
