Wait, resurrected units still die after battle?

Title. Fought an autocombat battle, lost 1 guy, decided to watch, game gave me control not long before combat end. Used Druid of the Cycle ability to bring lost guy back to life, won the remainder of combat without losses... unit is still dead in the end results, and also on world map.

I noticed that the replay sometimes breaks. Don't think it actually changes the outcome, though.

Resurrection works fine in an actual manual battle.

I had the opposite experience, hero died during combat but was alive with 1 hp after. I didn't even see an option for resurgence when starting the game.

yes, there is an odd bug where a replay after a few turns will appear to become a retry of a combat you have to finish manually, but it's still a replay and the outcome doesn't change. Happened to me several times.
