Got 1/4 of the RAM and slightly 1/4 less of graphics. Works good for me on high and great with slight adjustments (the usual suspects: shadow, particles, and such)
You should be fine.
As long as you meet the system requirements. They did a post-launch patch that seems to have fixed post launch issues for players running #$%&boxes.
I don't know what it is with all these "can I run it with this obviously beast"..
Made me sad. My poor PC ;(
I'm still running my PC I built in 2016, w/ 6700K@4.7, 16G@3200, 500G nvme 950Pro for OS (1tb 860EVO + 1tb 7200HDD for extra games+media), and 1080Ti. It still runs almost every game I play at 4K/60 (i don't play many AAA titles, esp brand new ones). W3 update still runs at 4k/60 on high/ultra tho, for example..
But I know most of that is due to my upgraded gpu (started w/ 980Ti). I love this PC but it's clear that a platform upgrade will be needed soon, even for playing 4X games like this one. :/
Any idea how this game will run with my setup (basically the same as OP but 1080Ti over 1080). My 4k TV is my monitor (pretty good sony from same yr as PC) so I try to play all my games at 4K, but 1440 is the min since any time I ever tried a game at 1080 it just doesn't look great. You think I could play this at 1440 anywhere near ultra (or at least one notch below ultra but with most checkboxes checked, minus maybe AA and reflections) and get 60fps? Or is my cpu dragging me down too much at this point
There are 2 types of players when it comes to this stuff -- there's the type who consider anything that's not a stuttering mess 'totally playable' and are completely satisfied as long as the game is technically playable. And most of the time when I see comments like yours (no offense) the resolution they play at is left out. Then there are the anal folks like me who absolutely need a locked 60fps (w/ vsync) in order to even consider playing. Unfortunately, the fact that I'm using a 55" tv as my monitor means if vsync is off the tearing is absolutely horrendous (unlike a smaller pc display, like up to 27", which hardly tears at all), and that just makes it even worse for me :x
I also do not like the look of 30fps, esp on a large screen, and with my particular tv if I play with interpolation on max @ 60fps it looks phenomenal, esp in 4x-type games - it's like playing at 90+ fps)
