Wow lots of good stuff, though Im disappointed necromancers will cost gold now as I alway have way more souls than gold

Though I'll be sad to lose the walls on the outposts.

Also, mounted Glade Runners? Oh boy. Glade Runners with Flanker? OH BOY.

If you attack through an underground passage, the Reinforcement Rule is now disabled, so it’s always a 1 army vs 1 army battle

Wow they really took the one guy who complained about this seriously.

Mounted Houndmaster. As if those weren't good enough already. Free dogs to bind and distract the enemy while the masters flank. Add in spider, unicorn or wolf mounts and it's getting right ridiculous.

All this is cool, but I'm still hoping they make custom assets for provinces for each culture, definitely the only thing breaking my immersion.

The problem with such is that. aside of the obvious effort-and-time-taking, what happens after conquest. Such feature would need to check the cities under each ruler's control every turn and swap assets which can be an instense resource hungry procedure. People are already complaining about that effect being caused by research, where the game is checking every object in your rule whether it is affected or not by the latest research effects.

They mentioned a fix for Web's damage but i don't recall them mentioning a nerf to it. That sounds great to me as that's what i wanted to see: fix the thing, see what happens and depending on what happens apply balance changes (if neccessary).

I mean, the province system works more or less like in Planetfall, but even more simplified and that game has more races than AOW4 has cultures. I get the technical aspect of it, but I don't think it's that big of a deal, they could just leave the provinces the same after a conquest and if you rebuild them they switch to your culture and such.
Still, it would be nice to see, whether officially or through a mod.

Well, the fix is for it doing double the intended damage, so the "nerf" is basically halving the damage.

Glade Runners were terrible compared to all the other arches so they needed a boost. But I'm not sure this was the right kind of boost since you have to have a race specific trait to get them mounts. Glade Runners will still be very bad for races that don't use exotic mount traits.

I'm also not sure what you mean by glade runners with flanker considering all units in the game can get flanking bonuses without having a mount.

Flanker means you do an extra 25% on top

Pack Leader from Tome of Beasts gives Flanker to all Animals and Cavalry in the army, as well as a small boost to Critical Hit Chance. The same Tome also gives Animal Kinship which gives another +10% Critical Hit Chance and +10% to damage when next to Cavalry (or animals).
