Is it possible to edit the race of your created faction once they start to acquire pantheon points? Like If i made a race of Humans but cosmetically decided to change them to elfs later on etc..

No. If you edit a faction and save that edit, the game creates an edited duplicate while the old version exists alongside.

You can choose to delete the old version, but the edit will always create a new faction.

Same applies to your ascended ruler. Even if you applied adjustments to their appearances during your session, upon ascension they will default back to their original look.

One of the devs did say that the pantheon system only checks for the naming of the leader and the faction. So if you edited an ascended leader, as long as their title, names, and faction name remain the same, you should be okay, even if you delete the older version from your list of custom leaders. That's in theory though, I haven't yet risked trying it out to confirm it—I'm kind of hoping the upcoming patch will clarify the matter, so might be worth waiitng.

I tried it for science, didn't work, the old leader is still deleted, but the new is not added to the list of patheons ^__^
