Are Astral Echoes visible on the map?

My scouts have been everywhere, but I only see resource deposits and some other minor stuff when I zoom out. Do Astral Echoes just not show up, or have they already been picked up or something?

That is specific to the Mystic culture. Maybe you chose a different culture?

Now there's another issue. I thought the Astral Echoes were those glowing "balls" that are visible on the map and that you pick up with your units, like the random deposits you sometimes find. However, I was at 3/5 Astral Echoes, and despite finding and picking up two more, I am still at 3/5. So is this a bug, or did I misunderstand what "Astral Echoes" are?

What do you mean as 3/5? Probably it is city count. Astral echoes are displayed as single number, it is the right-most stat on the top row adjacent to a circle.

Oh, FFS. Now I understand the issue.

Altar of the All-Seers says it gives a bonus for every 5 Astral Echoes, then, in my case, shows (x3) next to it. I thought that was supposed to be the number of AEs I had. That was the issue.

astral echoes have no visible icon when you zoom out and only see resource icons. they are glowing blue/white star looking pickups. i have not had them fail to register being picked up.

they are visible to *all* mystic cultures. so potentially the AI nabbed them before you.

bump. the encylopedia doesn't mention how to get the building or its requirements. I still don't see it.
