Steam Deck "playable"

Ok so, after about ten hours of fiddling, I can't find a way to get a stable 30 FPS on the Deck without the fan going haywire.

I read everywhere that people are having a delightful experience, yet no other information is given.

So please, deck users, how does it fare for you ? My best results are when toggling half rate vsync, but even there I get sub 30 in battles. It's really not nice to play.

Those of you that seemingly managed to get a good experience, could you give me your settings ? Like tdp, etc ? In-game settings ? Proton version ? Fsr or not ?

I'm desperate to actually play and enjoy this game.
