Resurrection Doesn't Work?

I have a Mage Tower: Crypts.

Tooltip says "heroes in crypt can be resurrected'

Open up crypt. Newly dead hero is in the crypt. Click hero.

'resurrection' is greyed out.

So can dead heroes be resurrected or not? What gives?

Hover your mouse over the resurrect button and you should get a tooltip saying why you can't.

I'm having the same problem. I also can't release or sell his body and he is still taking up a hero slot. The resurrection tool tip gives just gives the generic description and the button is grey out

This feels like it is a bug and he was captured and then executed which may have had something to do with it.

Do you have the body? I have not been in that situation yet so could not try it, but I would assume you can't resurrect without a body. Check if you can trade with whoever executed the hero for the body.

I killed an enemy hero and they are in my crypt, I want to resurrect them to fight for me, but the button is greyed out. it doesnt say anything other than "resurrect one of your fallen heros from within your crypt"

*Your* fallen heroes. It needs two things plus resources. A corpse and ownership over the hero.

well argh! why is some stranger i cant resurrect in my crypt? so i can steal their gear and sell them back? stealing gear and selling is great, but being able to resurrect as mine is even better!

You can if you take a necromancy tome. They just might stay looking a bit dead.

Comfortable passive income. With necromancy you could animate them as undead. For me they are just a great mana source.

yeah, they have to be yours. but i don't think why they couldn't have allowed resurrecting enemies and have them go to prison. where i can execute them, have them go to the crypt.. rinse and repeat. probably not that useful, but good for role-playing.

Can confirm you can't resurrect them even if they are your own heroes. One of my heroes died and went to a crypt of an enemy city. I captured the same enemy city to get him back only to find the 'Resurrect' button is greyed out (only 'Animate' is possible).

You can sell their body for 100 gold then get any items they had
