We need to talk about a Tier 2 unit Triumph.
During release day i saw quiet memes and hearsay about the Mythical "gay fish", you know, the meme from family guy. But now i have met this fine fair and balanced unit for myself, let me explain.

The name of the unit is "flow serpent" i think it is at any rate, since you cant search up units in the encyclopedia in game. This unit is a simple magical origin monster sitting pretty in Tier 2 or something, it is fast,a melee unit that when taking Any damage INSTANCE gets stunned and INVULNERABLE for 1 turn. When i saw it with my Tier 3 army of banshees and necromancers i thoguht to myself this will be a simple clearing of a resource node, i can just shoot once on those fish and they get stunned and cant move on their next turn, granted i waste a full damage volley of my units but i guess thats how they designed the Unit, to take fire beacuse unless it will literrally do whatever it wants.

i was wrong.

this gay fish of a unit takes one hit ofa three shot volley, goes invuln and stunned on YOUR turn, and then gets clear of Stun and invuln once it STARTS ITS OWN TURN, i dont think i need to tell you just how bad this is because this gay fish now waltzes up to your units, and either does flanking three hit full damage, or goes frontal, or uses a really high damaging ability it has, that teleports it closer, and deals about 20+ damage.

You now have 2 or 3 gay fish in your backline that you can never get rid of in 4+ turns, while the regular frontline is getting hammered by other strong magical origin units.

I wont the battle sure, with my leader dead and only one banshee and necromancer remaining but something has to change because if this Flow serpent aka "gay fish" can be summoned by a player, any PvP match is going to be a joke, more than a joke infact.

You can view units in the encyclopedia. Open encyclopedia, look to the right, it's one of those icons.

There are late games spells, which dispell or counterspell any unit enchantment for three turns.

It's not a unit enchantment, it's a unit property. Spellbreakers miiight be able to dispel it... not sure if they need to hurt the thingy to be able to dispel.

you can search units but you have to be in the right tab.
the flow serpent can be found in the wildlife tab, it is the tab with a picture of a paw.
once you are in that tab you can type in the name in the search bar.

the encyclopedia could be a lot better though.

The unit can't teleport if it's in Zone of Control and if it's zoned by a unit with First Strike, like any pikeman, literally the only thing it can do is either defend or attack, get hit before landing the attack, and permanently stunlocking itself. Even without first strike this unit can't take retaliation hits. It's annoying but hardly OP in any way

I know this is a joke because no one would actually conflate South Park and Family Guy.

Those dumb things were so frustrating to deal with in the second scenario mission

I never had a problem with those, depends on your army composition I guess

as far as i experienced it, the retaliatory strike on my turn that made it become stunned is cleared when it gets its turn later, either that or the third story mission's modifier of berserk ruined my observation on it.

At this point all the jokes of family guy, south park, american dad, etc etc all blend together, you know the joke, it's gay fish, this unit looks like a fish and is as annoying as the long sketch the gay fish joke originated from, give a man some slack

Yeah it's just that they resist holy magic so urgh pain. They're pretty easily countered by lightning magic since they're ethereals

The fact they stun from retaliation gimps them pretty heavily. Frankly there have been points where they helped me significantly by using their speed to engage my archers first, blocking their actual dangerous troops from moving into those spaces next to them. One area effect spell stuns the lot of them, now my archers can shoot again despite having an enemy adjacent because they are stunned. I deliberately leave them to last after that. Another good perk of facing them is they are usually still alive once all the actual threats have been dealt with and then start fleeing, giving you time to safely resurrect any units you lost.

thats exactly what i am doing, how are your untis not dying by having them roam free in your backline? you realize that they always get a free turn, you cannot really block them or box them in unless you so happen to have 2-3 pikemen units CONVENIENTLY in your army to stand beside them.. when you need those pikes at the front.

The problem is that in 9 times out of ten, you CANNOT stop them from doing what ever the hell they want in your backline, you can stun them all you want to free up your archers ranged attacks but it wont stop them acting next turn, and do their 20+ damage teleport skill, or just lay into your mages or ranged with a three hit combo that wont trigger retaliation because those units dont retaliate, unless you box in your ranged unit(s) which is impossible if you have 2 plus a support unit they will often kill one or two of your army easily.

That fish is not the real dangerous fish. Lightbringer is - and it's also Tier 2.
