How do I prospect in the first place? I don't see a button for it.

Use the shovel symbol in the army with a hero after acquiring the Imperium perk.

And i just had an area i coudnt see the shovel because it was hidden by the fog of war despite hugging the very wall.

They need to return it to age of wonders 3 version.
It was reliable.

no you click on a prospect able Provence. also only industrious scouts can.
