This is true, though. Maybe they'll look less silly with different skin and hair.
It probably looks better on actual draconians. Otherwise it's like... a demon or angel transformation, but dragon.
TBH i wonder who controlled the art direction in this game.
For example, the humans, elves and orcs look really good (for the most part). Some options for Halflings, and some of the monsters as well.
But then looking at the goblins and dwarves? Or molekin and toads? Horrible. I can barely make a single ruler i'd like to play with, and with the randomized factions / cities they are clearly immersion-breaking.
And for some reason, several monster types look like in those games for 5 year old children. Like that Balor with the babylegs? Who approved that for the game release?
Much of the artwork looks as if the artist had no experience with the fantasy material. Like the proportions and features of the Goblins are all wrong, compared to AOW3. One face looks a bit like the Warhammer gobbos, another like a human. Then some of the dwarven heads look like these goblins, too.
And they all have huge gaps at the neck.
Say what you want but who ever did the art also gave us reptilians with actual lizard, alligator and dragon-like heads as opposed to the 90s, B-movie monsters they turned the draconians into in AoW 3.
He'll be fine once he gets partnered up with Balor Regular Legs.
