I was just wondering what vanilla settings people use.
You can use the beginner scenario I have shared here, but increase the player number to 7-8 as your liking.

It feels like quite a huge map which is fun to play. In fact I am still playing it since it takes fairly long as you have plenty of space to build and teleporters are a must.
Ah, I see. my missunderstanding!
actually, i use the standard settings so far, b/c i am still learning to play. the smaller the map, the sooner the action starts which helps regarding learning. But i do plan to switch to larger maps in the future also.
Some of the map type options might lead to bigger maps than others - not sure.
Just in case you missed this mod, which is also a demo by the official developers.
Answer to FAQ: it is not natively part of the game since the map size might cause performance issues on low end hardware and consoles.
