Naming Wizards

Since starting to play this excellent game, I've noticed that it is not possible to avoid giving your wizard characters a surname. Also, in the surname field, it is impossible to have more than one word with gaps between them. Given the genre, I find this annoying. Few of the wizards in books I've read or films I've seen had surnames. They generally have one name - their first name; which everyone reveres or fears. Gandalf Smith or Merlin Jones? No! They were only known by their first names. In previous AOW games I could do this, or give them a descriptive title in the surname field, such as 'the Magnificent'. Now, it's impossible. I know it's a small thing, but it's bugging me and spoiling immersion. Surnames for wizards usually sound silly. So, wonderful developers, could you please fix this to give us the options of dispensing with wizard surnames and allowing us to split words in that field? I notice that your pre-made Artica only has one name, so you were obviously able to do this yourselves at some stage. Pretty please...

That you have to give a surname is a confirmed bug that has been reported.

You can put spaces in the surname field, for example in my game my character is called Risen King Krytalia of The Abyss.

The trick is to edit out the surname completely, leave it empty, then go back to the first name and type your first name in...if you do that you will notice that it will autofill the surname field with "the vacant one" , then go to the surname field and edit it but be careful to leave the spaces you want. So in my example above, I moved the cursor and changed "the" to of, then changed "vacant" to The and changed "one" to Abyss. It keeps the spaces and thats how I did it :)

There's clearly some sort of oopsy preventing people from manually typing spaces in the name field, while the auto generation is allowed to use spaces just fine. So I would expect when fixed it would be easier to make "Gandalf the Gray" as your example, but until then there are workarounds to generate a name with a space and to keep that space as tombstone went over.

As for Merlinus Ambrosius, that one is pretty easy to do already.
