Beware, Game has massive crash issues.
As noted in their bug report section the game suffers from constant crashing when in combat and sometimes the overworld maps. Includes pc bluescreens, hardware stalls and CTD if you are lucky.

Many people including myself have not had more than 15-30 minutes without a pc bluescreen and despite driver updates and dropping the game to 32 bits. It's basically unplayable to some people.

I love many Paradox games and understand the depth of play and wide choices and customization can be difficult to perfect. But you have a community to fallback on, a good month of pre-release open beta would crush most of these issues before you charge people for a product that is unable to function.

If you are crashing check bug report posts.

*UPDATE* 5/7/2023
The patch has fixed most crashes, however a small handful of people are still having issues. If you are unlucky and experiencing crashes, I share your pain, still cannot play more then 2-4 minutes before bluescreen. Hopefully after the next hotfix it will finally stabilize.

I don't think he know much about computer.

Run powershell as admin. Type wininit. Voilà, software-caused bsod.

If you can't do that.. microsoft even offers a (ex-sysinternals) software tool that does it for you... it even lets you choose how to crash: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/notmyfault

I mean.. it ain't hard to crash a windows system. It's something like 30 lines of C++ code. So no, any game can do that. They probably won't do that on purpose (why would they?) and are much more likely to trigger bugs in the drivers, but strictly speaking they don't need to use drivers for that. Plenty of other ways...

Nearly 40 hours in, one crash.

And I run on two different computers, with different hardware, one is about 4 years older than the other.

Update drivers maybe?
Had a graphics memory error on my 3080ti that I could only clear with a complete shutdown. Never happened to me before on any game. I suspect a graphics memory leak.
my pc still freezes after 15-30 min. game should be on the fbi criminal list :p
Game runs great for an hour or so, then it melts my Ryzen AMD chip into a BSOD smoking crater. If it doesn't do that, then 15 minutes later it crashes my Nvidea 3060ti to desktop. It's probably better for me that it limits my playtime, makes my wife happier, but those crashes cannot be good for my system hardware,

Those are entirely different issues descriptions. It is like you trying to put a car crash with a car running out of fuel on the same level.
The multiplayer crashes are the worse thing for the moment in game. I can play a solo map with bigger maps mod + constant plague spawn + vassals + 11 NPC on the map and it runs like oil in over 200 turns.

But in the multiplayer...man that is the worst thing I have ever seen. Desync in manuell battles in the end of the last kill of a enemie. When Plague/Vassal turn is on the game freezes and when you have high "luck" today it crashes so hard that you can´t play the game again because it repeat the same thing over and over.

You log in-> every 11 NPC enemie turn goes smooth -> Plague/Vassal Turn is-> Game lags like hell-> Game begin to freeze-> with a small chance it can then take 20 - 30 min and you have the next 5 - 8 turns nothing again or the high chance that it crashes and you can´t even play this round anymore because it is in this "stunlock"

THIS is bad for a multiplayer game.

180 hours, around 5-6 crashes, Ironically, more issues with the crash reporter than the game itself.

However, the game runs very hot, so keep an eye on temperature.

i5, 6680xt, 8gb memory, win11, default high graphic setting. Smooth gameplay, no issue at all after 5hrs of non-stop playing last night. GPU and CPU usage are around the 70% and only the faction creation menu push the GPU extra hard for some reason.

This. The faction creation menu and the enchantment scene pushed the GPU extra hot around 80℃ on my environment. When I enter that scene I feel is this something GPU bench /s .
I got 200 hours playing and now my second bluescreen. Still semes to be a thing

Hey Seikatsu, a Bluescreen is very unusual to occur based on a game alone. Typically that indicates a deeper issue with either hardware or drivers. What does it indicate on the bluescreen as cause?
your computer is dying if you get blue screens.
Just want to mention that yesterday's new open beta solved my graphical crash in battles when using shadows. But strange that I only saw it announced in Reddit, but not here or on the Paradox forum.

It's shared right here in the Open Beta Forum and added to the Graphics Driver Crashes Thread.
