Stop blaming the game for your own computer problems guys..
Reading so many threads burning the game and producers down because of performance issues.

I get that its frustrating and it sucks to have to troubleshoot.
But the game works FINE on most people's computers, streamers have been very positive all week. This is a problem at your end , stop blaming the game.

People with exactly the same specs as my pc are complaining its a stuttering mess.

I bet half of you didnt even update GPU drivers beforehand, start with that..

Edit:
For anyone who wants to know:
rtx 3060 ti , i7-10700k, 16 gb ram

100 FPS steady on ultra

Edit2:
Not denying there are problems.
But a lot of people just didnt update drivers or forgot to check minimum specs.
And yes a group cannot help it and has to wait for a patch, that really sucks.
But 38k people are playing, lots of people without any problems at all.
Not fair to review bomb for this.

Err.. I think I will blame whatever I feel like blaming. When the issues are common enough to get a 50% review score on Steam, I'd say that goes a bit further than your data point of ONE user out of *checks notes* 31M active steam users.

Frankly the fact the game launches in such a state makes me want to wait for a sale because I'm done rewarding developers for releasing broken products. Even if the game ran flawlessly for me (RTX 3070 Ti, i7 12700K, 32GB DDR5, SSD only storage) with the specs of my computer I shouldn't have to worry about updating drivers to prevent crashing to desktop as frequently as seems to plague games these days.. and even then, do you not think the first thing people do after experiencing some issues is update drivers to try and fix it?

lol, at you and your total lack of empathy for people and the bending over you do for the corporate boardrooms that destroy the gaming industry, one broken release at a time.
Incorrect it isn't one user, and I agree I created a separate thread where someone said they simply forgot to update their Windows OS, I have diff specs than he and I am working fine. I agree. Some people undo themselves with their own mods and security settings to their PCs or a lack there of.
And then give negative reviews when Devs are jumping in and trying to fix the issues immediately?

Then you haven't been around for the last two years.

I always built my own computers but now mid to high end video cards are in excess of $500 dollars, and that's just one component.

You can get the same card as part of an iBUPOWER PC, with all other components (motherboard, ram, harddrive) for around $1,100, which is what I did for both myself and daughter.

Here's your link:

GOOGLE SEARCH BAR + 90 seconds.

I literally did exactly as you suggested and seached costco, and now you give me a snarky ass comment and moved the goalpost. Get bent.

These are the same folks who probably rely on others to their laundry too. Never seen washer or the inside of a dryer.

They wouldn't know what to do with that thing, they are better off just getting a console and staying there.
I can hear the blockage in your windpipe through the internet.

I think I got this in 2022, the make and model is probably cheaper now. Hard to say with inflation, but there are much better ones now.

I have had 0 issues with triple A performance driven titles, like Elden Ring.

I have an average system, updated drivers. Game crashed after minutes to desktop no error given and game was frozen and had to restart steam to shut game down. Second attempt at playing game, same thing happened but never made it to loading screen. Third attempt same.

So there is a serious issue with the game. You do not crash to desktop without it being a serious issue. The game failing to shut down and exit after a crash is a serious issue.

I bought the premium edition early purchase special. If this game is still unplayable by Friday I will get a refund and wait for a 50% sale. Like I have had to do on many purchases and AAA titles. Because they are sometimes broken messes that are pushed out before they are ready.

I play 7 Days to Die, not AAA, still in early access. I have almost 5,000 hours playing that game. But it is playable, doesn't crash, doesn't crash to desktop or refuse to shut down. But I take it serious when players have problems each time a new version comes out. Because that is what adults too.

So no excuses, it either works or it doesn't. Right now its like having a car that starts, then you pull into the street and it stalls. Then you have to push it off the street, shut it down, let it cool off then start it again, every thing looks good, you pull into the street and it stops working again. Over and over and over.

The Lemon law is 3 times. If it will not run 3 times, it is a lemon.

Currently this game is a lemon. Lemons or faulty products are not deemed by who it works for, but by who it doesn't work for. The lemon law is not there to protect the happy customer. The fact it works for you does not matter. That never matters. The fact that I or anyone else purchased a product and it will not run correctly is enough to not only give it a bad review which is currently accurate, but also worth considering refunding the game.

I personally will wait for patches, but I expect them very soon, or I will refund the game and wait 6-12 months for it to be on sale.

That is reality. Yeah your purchased product works fine. Why are you here, blowing smoke and insulting and attacking other people that do not have the same experience that you have? Why aren't you playing the game? Instead here you are attacking customers with real problems. The worst part is you have no basis for your statements. Meaning, your reality and opinion have nothing to do with their reality and facts. Yet you attempt to state your reality is supreme and therefore their reality does not matter.

Do you stand at customer returns at Wal Mart and claim that your toaster works, so they should just suck it up and keep the broken toaster? Listen to yourself. It truly is ludicrous.

Game is broken for an unknown amount of people. Me included. I hope a patch comes soon and fixes it and I will wait. But literally attacking people for reporting real problems. What is wrong with you?

Chris

Yea dude, you're one of the unlucky for who the game doesnt run and that sucks for sure.

Maybe I should've phrased the title differently , but my point remains the same.
For most people it works perfect.
And for unlucky people like you, there hopefully soon will be a patch that makes it good for ALL systems.

I'm just annoyed by the review bombing and claims the claim is an utter failure while thats NOT the case for most people.
Too bad. I was going to get this. but I'll pass on buying a broken mess. But seems the norm for paradox games these days.
Not a single issue on my Ryzen 7 4800H w/ 3060 laptop at the moment. Will know soon how it performs on my 12700k w/ 3080 ti desktop, I'm assuming it'll be just fine there as well.

EDIT: This isn't to say that others DON'T have issues. PC hardware configurations are extremely varied and it can be difficult to optimize for all systems by day 1, no matter how much it upsets people that's just how it can be. Source: am in game development.

If people do have issues before they are actually fixed, I appreciate that affected players report these problems in reviews and in posts here. Commercial reviews on review sites obviously can't be relied on as even games with universal issues, like the Jedi game, get 8/10 from some sites with no mention of problems. Steam reviews may not be perfect, but they are better than the alternatives.

I'm on the fence about buying this game, and this is why I read reviews and posts. I can appreciate that the "devs are jumping in and trying to fix the issues immediately", but until they are actually fixed, not only promised to get fixed, the negative reviews do help potential buyers like me and should be posted.

The irony of this statement. 400 reviews out of 40,000 CURRENTLY playing. And only half of those 400 are negatively reviewing because of performance issue. Do you see? Do you see how your own argument backfired?
I run this on my shadow pc never have to worry about specs again :P
