they already mentioned that it is "playable" currently and they are working on making it fully verified. considering the game is getting a console release the controls won't be an issue either.

was hoping we'd get some deck footage or at least a comment on how it runs from the reviewers but non mentions it as far as I can tell.

Text will prob be too small....I find most games with any text almost unreadable on SD

There are games that add font size change to settings. I doudt the Devs took the Steam deck into account when making game.

Though a lot of Devs are making the changes: controller support, FSR 2.0 or better, and font settings to enlarge.

I've been playing aow3 recently thanks to the hype and the text is very readable actually. this will be an issue at all imo.

Last dev comment I saw said they already made all necessary changes to meet the Verified status and submitted for approval but are waiting on Steam to review and officially grant the Verified label.

I can't imagine it won't be, all of the other games play well on SD.

Just tried it last night and found it very playable. There are points of annoyance where I would have to finagle with targetting for the help text info but the basic 4 x actions were very easy to accomplish and there is a complete overlay with the controls for the visible actions showing on the screen.

Disclaimer: I am also not very used to the steam deck and primarily play switch so a lot of the finagling and pressing wrong buttons was probably more on me than on the dev for the controller support.
