With good reason. Turn limits are trash tbh. They should be off by default.
yes
I could in the story missions. I didn't click on it but it gave me the option.
I rather like not having to build stuff that summons stacks of enemies to win or conquering everything.
Granted, in the game I just finished it might not have taken that long but still, at that point I was just going through the motions since 4 rulers where already gone, 1 I took out early, another was taken out by the necromancer moles and 2 others I destroyed shortly after each other.
When the game ended I was already laying siege to a city of the necromancer moles and had a big army in their lands, they wouldn't have lasted long.
Only the moles and the feudal tigrans where left.
Only thing protecting the tigrans was me not being able to justify a war with them any time soon, would have taken them out last otherwise. But well it would have just dragged the game out longer than needed. I was already unstoppable.
The game already let you do that. Just disable all victory conditions, leaving military victory with limitless turns as remaining game mode.
It is a bit hidden.
Start a game. Click on Edit for a realm (note that some of the pre-created realms won't let you). Go to advanced settings. Go to Game Flow tab. Under victory conditions score: Set to disable.
You cannot keep on playing after the victory screen, which is a shame in my opinion, since after several days of shaping my realm and team of superheroes, I got quite attached to it and still wanted to see through some plans I made. Getting pulled out of the game all of a sudden is not very enjoyable.
Thanks for reminding me a year after.
