Well Civ IV was trash on release day as well. Only numerous patches and the DLC made it an awesome game. My opinion of course. :)

While I have personally enjoyed Civ 6 much less than even its direct predecessor, this particular streamer has gotten quite a lot of content and followers from that game, so his praise of it makes sense to me.

I just found it interesting that he admitted to cutting back content of his channel (for profit) to playing AOW4 (for fun).

His channel is where I got most of my mid/late info from. He was playing on brutal most of the time with insane map traits and knew what he was talking about. Also streams that were like 4-6 hours long and was a great way to get an idea of what AI was like on the hardest difficulty.

He said from Opinionia, the famously most imperialist nation-state in the history of the internet while simultaneously the most famously ineffectual at actually enforcing empire.

(This is a fancy way of saying, I actually quite enjoyed Civ 6.)
