Could be wrong though.
In the load menu, I can see realm traits, player amount, turn system, and game speed, but not difficulty.
You can, once you encounter an AI player, hover over their shield icon in the top right, to see what difficulty this AI is. So unless you have AIs of different difficulties, that should be the level for all of them.
Story realms are a bit different. Here you select a dificulty for the overall game, and not for AIs and marauders separately. So in a story realm you'd have to start a new game, remember what difficulty you set it to this time and then compare wthe difficulty of a certain AI opponent or ally, to see if it is the same or above/below what you found in the first game.
