And i LOVE it - forcing yourself to play every battle manually would bore you extremely fast.
And here i can manually play only the toughest battles where AI can't handle the odds.
Yea shared XP and battle healing being temporary are both changes to speed up combat in general and reduce the need to manually fight combats to micromanage your units.
And this, I think, is interesting and something to take note of. The combat isn't engaging or interesting enough somehow. I can't exactly place my finger on anything specific that I would change, but combat in AoW often feels like a chore.
that cannot be correct. if you autoplay vs manual you WILL see a difference.
I nearly always manually resolve. It is correct. Even if it weren't, Ascended Warriors exists.
edit: To clarify, what I usually do is Auto Resolve, then Retry manually if any important units get wiped out. Which with the mentioned builds was almost always.

I couldn't disagree more. Unless you play a game that is solely about tactical combats like XCOM or some RPG you won't find better combat than this.
