If they make a movie about it, they'll probably be a dumb Dire penguin in that. I gave up saying how silly I thought it was in AOW when I realised they were never gonna give them up.
It's like their mascot and I reckon they see it as funny.
The Dev office probably has a Dire Penguin model sat on one of their desks.
They are definitely in planetfall. They have these weird alien tri-beaks.

Right at the top, in all their absurd glory.
AoW 1 had lizardmen with giant frog mounts
Dire Penguins are the heart of the series. Essential to the core. I will brook no besmirching of them.
In Planetfall there are not only units, but even a poker game with the penguins and one other event where the phrase “all hail the penguin overlords” appears.
Whose afraid of a penguin... unless it's a dire penguin dedicated to evil
I once named a city Penguin City and every dire penguin that appeared headed there.
Gonna be funny imagining one of the Toad races meet your empire while you have Giant Frog mounts.
