Problem is you can only do it one item at a time, which is a real pain in the neck if you defeat a enemy hero with 6 or 7 items. Since selling an item boots you back to the diplomacy menu instead of the trade menu.
It's an odd design choice by the devs.
The sell value for AI players is sometimes less than selling them from the inventory, though.
Seems to vary, some players paid me like 150 gold for one item, but mostly they pay like 10-15 gold. Perhaps based on their personality or income?
And TBH i'm not looking for workarounds or alternatives. This function in AOW3 is so good, because you need to make a choice - do you sell the item right now when finding it, for double the gold value? Or are you gonna equip it for a couple of turns, "keep it for later" and then sell it when you definitely no longer need it?
And there doesn't seem to be a solution for unnecessary units. Just the upkeep of sending them anywhere for 5-10+ turns mostly outweighs any potential usefulness.
And since certain people like to bash AOW3 and deify Planetfall instead: Yes PF also has options on what to do with found items and units.
The more the AI likes you the more they will pay. Also at some points the AI will have too many items, inflating the prize and paying you less. At least that's my understanding from playing and observing.
Oh look, a troll on the steam forums. Attacking random people with random insults, trying to provoke a 100-page argument.
So let's play along. Who didn't understand what exactly?
This thread is about the "sell rewards" feature from AOW3 and Planetfall.
It is not about being forced to take items and auction them to other players.
The guy just goes to any post that is critical of the game and picks fights, best to not respond to that troll.
