Second EDF - Swordsman
So apparently the swordmen you fight in the act 1 battle for lloyd count as two different notebook entries, because aside from being identical in everything, their models have slightly different hair colors. Sigh.
Can you find the same swordmen later in crossbell city to scan? They sound like they would be generic enemies, so I am not sure.
I sadly missed the difference during the event in chapter 1.

I always screwed up 100% enemy scan in every game. Either my mind is slipped and forgot to scan the boss I fought ,forgot to scan 'the second form' of a boss or enemies that look similar to each other in group.

Yeah, that's an annoying move. It almost got me, but I was paying enough attention to catch it in time. It's not the only time that happens, there are a few more cases where that happens.

On the other hand, some enemies are re-used in later battles and so won't need scanning again. Any enemy you scan with one group will be considered already scanned if you fight the same type again with a different group.

Does this game reward scanning everything? There's a boss fight with annoying turn limit that's driving me insane, and spending 2 turns to scan the bosses is lot of pressure.

Yeah that's why I am asking, if this enemy gets reused later. I am not too far and I am wondering if I should reload to do it right.

Yes there are missions in the game whose objective is to fill out the Battle section of the notebook. These missions reward RP, which when enough is accumulated, reward items. Fortunately, I believe the game has an excess of RP, so I think it is possible to miss out on some RP and still have enough to get all the rewards.

There is also a trophy tied to scanning all enemies excluding the post-game dungeon enemies.

Since the firts cold steel (I think) there's no point in scan, if you just fight all enemies in a map,,, you'll get enough enemies data to get the max reward (master quartz usually) at the end

Maybe there's an achievement for scan all enemies, but just a pointless achievement (it doesn't give you anything)
