how have you been liking the series so far?
No, this game is Hajimari no kiseki.
Crossbell is Zero no kiseki (trails to zero), and Azure no Kiseki (Trails to Azure).
The ideal play order is
-----arc1-------
Trails in the sky FC
Trails in the sky SC
Trails in the sky 3rd
-----------------
-----arc 2------ (aka the crossbell games)
Trails to Zero
Trails to Azure
----------------
-----arc 3-----
Trails of cold steel 1-4
--------------------
Trails into reverie.
Everyone who has played all the games will tell you that you should play them in the order listed from top to bottom. But the beginning of each arc is a 'workable' starting point. You wont be 'lost' if you start in arc 2 or 3 out of order. BUT you will rob yourself out of some emotional entertainment. Trails to Zero for example, some of its most gut-wrenching scenes depend on you knowing about a certain character's backstory, and without playing sky first, it'll just be some rando person you don't care about having an ordinary 'touching' moment.
Similarly if you play cold steel before playing sky or crossbell. You lose out on some of the hype factor, though tbh I don't think it's as bad as playing crossbell before sky.
Unfortunately lots of people saying as of late that starting with crossbell is ok because it's the newest arc to be released in English. But honestly it is the absolute worst place to start IMO. I think alot of that are just people who never played sky, have no intention of playing sky, because they are coping because they are switch fanboys who refuse to play pc games even though sky can run on a 15 year old potato-pc that you can probably find from a junkyard.
TBH the reply isn't useless. I myself grew up during a time where you had to goto a library to research something, and not cuz of they have computers with internet. It's a habit gen x and older may have a hard time remembering that they can just basically google any question about stuff.
I mean chances are it WAS just a snarky comment, but I had to be told something like that a few times in the past before I got it in my head and made it a habit. I'm good at being constructive with less than ideal material though =P *flex*
nah i was more pointing them out cause there is a chance that if someone came on a forum board directly for the game they may just want the opinions of people they atleast know own it and can see how long people have played it for.
Im SURE it was the users attempt at COMEDY or just was killing time cause they have nothing better to do. BUT, if that was the case they could have atleast said something more original or funny in that case
and assuming someone knows about this whole series is a big ask considering most people dont even know how butchered this series english release has been since sky and then claim that people only suddenly care about the game now, and there are alot of those people. its kinda sad how english speakers dont actually get characters like estelle if you play the english ports, instead you get a very short fused, ULTRA VIOLENT bully instead of who she actually is..... sigh
Heck, I initially even thought that Rean would be a emiya shirou type that I dislike, but I grew quite fond of him in the end. I even replayed 3 and 4 of cold steel twice. I tried for 1 and 2, but you know.... QoL.... haha
