Yes. Its pretty linear compared to previous Trails games and nothing is hidden behind NG+.

Is there content that can be missed? I'm trying to figure out if I should 100% the game or not.

Some dungeons are one visit only. So I guess you can miss their Monsters scan or treasure chests.

Does that count in the 100% list? I'm not a completionist.

I'm unsure what you mean by 100% other than 100% achievements. Can you please explain?
Ogami Jul 9, 2023 @ 2:28am
If you mean 100% achievements then yes, there is one for completing the monster data handbook, meaning you have to scan every monster in the game at least once.

What does scan mean? Fighting it or using an item on it to find its weakness?

There are 4 ways to fill out a monster's entry: 1) use a Battle Scope item, 2) Use the Analysis art, 3) Some characters like Altina and Tio have a Craft that Analyzes the enemy and 4) attack the monster enough times. The first 3 methods completely analyses the enemy in 1 turn whereas the 4th method requires a number of hits and therefore a number of turns.

You also have to finish the game on "Nightmare" difficulty if you want all achievements.

You can start at Nightmare mode and complete all in one run. The most misseable would be scan some monsters (I had tons of battle scopes on my inventory and some battles didn't let me to use - better set some quartz for good measure) and the recipes list, but if you miss some of them you can allways try the odds with Curious.

I personally won't go for the 100% because I hate Pom-Pom-Party and I refuse to ever play it again (yeah, I know I did it in C4, too much to my trauma), but good luck :)

Pom Pom party is such garbage. I hate Puyo Puyo with a passion anyway and this version did not change that.
Vantage Master on the other hand is great.

For Pom Pom Party, don't think too hard. Don't try to set up the combos. The combos will set themselves up.

Pom Pom is outrageously boring. You can use some strategic thinking, but for the majority of the time you'll be forced to just relay on luck.

I love VM because it is the exactly opposite, you'll still need some luck to get usable cards, but you'll need good strategy and some foresight to use them right.
