Fishing Question

Hello

I have a fishing question. I read through a guide and it says there are five legendary fish. One fish per play through. Does that mean I have to play through the game five times to get all the legendary fish.

No, it means that each of the legendary fish can only be caught once per playthrough.

The first four of those fishes can be caught in the spots that are occupied by the four legendary anglers, after those have been defeated. One fish per spot. The fifth one can be caught during the fishing duel with Lakelord III, after all other fish (legendary and otherwise) have been caught.

As an aside, there is a hard deadline for when you have to get all the fishing done. It's actually really obnoxious because it's also the first time you can get the last few fish you need. If you wish, I could post the day in spoiler tags when you can complete the fishing.

Yes please do that would be a big help. Its a small window until the end of the game right.

Your final normal fish is available on Chapter 4, Day 1. It is the Catfish found in the Ancient Battlefield Tunnel. That's the last one you need to qualify for the Elite Four member on West Crossbell Highway, and after that, and the unique fish caught there, you can challenge Lakelord. All on the same day.
