Arianrhod fight

I've been playing this game without a guide or anything and am stuck on the Arianrhod fight. I am under the impression its supposed to be skippable if you lose it, but when I die it only gives me the retry, retry on lower difficulty, and exit to menu. Am I missing something?

After a certain amount of damage done to her, she loses her mask. If you then lose, you can continue the game regardless.

The best way to defeat her (or at least do enough damage for the mask to come off) is to give Lloyd as much Evasion as you can (it should be possible to reach 100% at this point) and pull her away from the rest of the team with Raging Spin. Use Tio's Zero Field S-Craft to protect against her S-Crafts (keep her CP up, with food if you have to), and use Elie and Wazy (and Tio, if possible) to hit her with Arts (Spark Dyne is very good).

Thank you, I'm fine getting her down in HP, but I tried twice and lost and wasn't sure if I had to grind up to the point where I would be able to actually win the fight. Thanks
