Buying weapons right away ??

Should you buy any of the weapons or amulets from the armory, etc. like right at the beginning of the game during the prologue or is it best to just go with what you start with and you'll get better weapons as you progress. It just seems like an initial heavy hit of mira when you don't have a lot.

Weapons yes (in the prologue, buy only the one for Lloyd, you'll need it), armour yes, but check the shops at Times general department store as well, they'll sometimes have better stuff, accessories no, unless you specifically need them, they're too good to pass up, like the +5 speed accessories you can get early in chapter 1 (buy just 3 of those though, you'll get a 4th one for free a bit later) or you're swimming in Mira.

You don't get a lot of weapons and gear from chests and quest rewards. For me though, what I was most concerned about were weapon customizations, because my materials budget was always tight. By the end of the game it was no big though, because the upgrades I skipped let me save up plenty of mats (relatively, still small numbers) for the really good stuff.

If money is tight, you can always put off your purchases by say, a day's worth of side-jobs.

Once you get access to it and if you choose to trade spare sepith for mira, ALWAYS do so at the bank. You get free money (if you can call higher, undue and unjustifed returns "free" money). You buy most of your weapons and gear in the big city anyway so it's a short detour at worst.
