Why no English Dub?
I'm not trying to start a fight or cause problems but what purpose is there for me, someone who owns the Geofront versions of both Zero and Azure, to pay top dollar for this just for slightly better graphics? I would have considered buying and playing both games a second time if English dub was an option. The fact that it doesn't exist at all is making me personally decide to skip these official versions as I've already played these games.

Lazy devs.

Because a dub isn't financially viable for a "retro"-release. The game contains a truckload of voiced lines and recording those all is a costly process.

As for why buy the official version when there was already a translated one available through unofficial channels? Put simply, to support the series in the west, which you're not doing by forking over a few bucks for the old Asian versions that were then patched through fan patches.

because it's not needed. Live with that.

To be fair, I waited quite some time for an official version to be announced. Not exactly my fault they failed to put the games out before Cold Steel 3 and 4. I will support the series with any games coming forward but not these two.

Unless you REEEEEALY care about the Durante improvements, there is literally no reason to buy this if you already played/own the Geofront versions.

There is a case for buying it to "show support and interest in the series from the west", but that's a load of bs cuz you can buy as many copies of Zero as you want, it's still not going to make NISA translate the games faster. Plus, Falcom is already well aware of the wests interest in the series.

Do you... realize that you're asking, what purpose is there for you to pay for a game that you've played pirated for free right?
Unless what you own is not simply the Geofront version but asking about double dipping, in which case it's up to you to decide if all of what they added is worth it or not.
I don't use english dub anyway so it's not a problem for me.

This is the kai version so there are new content on the game. I'll certainly buy it but can't now...

The Kai versions are nice, but the content you get with it reaaaaly isn't worth the price NISA is selling it at. That, and most of the Kai features like voice acting and enhanced OSTs were available as mods for the Geofront versions.

They are not pirated. I bought the games and used the fan translations on them. I made sure to support the series and not take it for free.
i just recently found out about the whole series, so i just started trials in the sky FC. By the time i get around to this game there will be an english sub and on a major sale as well in the future. Only way to beat the prices of nis of around 50$ for this game and its like a decade old or around there... is to play the waiting game, older a game gets more on sale it is and reviews matter as well on how soon the sale will be. Nis sucks by doing the bare minimum for more money, they think a soundtrack and art book is worth more money, lol... like square enix and the wallpapers for incentive to buy the remastered versions of final fantasy 8 in particular lmfao... I wish i found out about geofront versions sooner as i would have bought them for sure with english sub as well... How long before english sub comes here, i give it a year or so as they already have it in english its a decade old game.... lmfao where is it? Don't you think they would have made more money with an english sub at release? It's a niche game so i guess not, its like part 4 after the trials games and before cold steel 1. I have time so I am not worried about it however the practices of this is shameful from especially not western companies to treat english like its a second class citizen when its for western audiences, its not like we went to china with 11 games throughout the last decade or so in all english and forced them to do fan translations on all of them mostly, shame, i would have bought this today if it was not for stupid practices already in place with these companies who think they know better, i think not. :pointless:

There's no good excuse for this being released now, more than 2 years after the initial Geofront translation had been fully completed already, considering that that's what they've basically used here.

Two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years. And we don't even get a dub. What the ♥♥♥♥ did they do with all that time? Wait?

That's why people get pissed when they go and lash out at other translation projects. Maybe instead NISA should get their ♥♥♥♥ together and if they're not gonna add anything substantial anyway just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ release the already done translations already?

More like lazy gamers who don't want to read. Localizing a JRPG full of text (well-written text) is incredibly expensive. Since there's no real guarantee many people will even buy this game, we're lucky it even got released in this form to begin with. Damn gamers are never happy, man.

Please, change your name to "Boso" it suits you much better.

Because it's a Japanese game.

Absolutely none, zero, nada, zilch.

I also own the Geofront versions and I also have zero reason to buy the NISA versions for the exact same reason, because NISA cheaped-out and didn't pay for an English dub like they should have done, and which would have changed the situation from a not worth a buy for Geofront owners, to a worth a buy for Geofront owners.
