Report a translation problem
As for why buy the official version when there was already a translated one available through unofficial channels? Put simply, to support the series in the west, which you're not doing by forking over a few bucks for the old Asian versions that were then patched through fan patches.
To be fair, I waited quite some time for an official version to be announced. Not exactly my fault they failed to put the games out before Cold Steel 3 and 4. I will support the series with any games coming forward but not these two.
There is a case for buying it to "show support and interest in the series from the west", but that's a load of bs cuz you can buy as many copies of Zero as you want, it's still not going to make NISA translate the games faster. Plus, Falcom is already well aware of the wests interest in the series.
Unless what you own is not simply the Geofront version but asking about double dipping, in which case it's up to you to decide if all of what they added is worth it or not.
I don't use english dub anyway so it's not a problem for me.
This is the kai version so there are new content on the game. I'll certainly buy it but can't now...
They are not pirated. I bought the games and used the fan translations on them. I made sure to support the series and not take it for free.
Two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years. And we don't even get a dub. What the ♥♥♥♥ did they do with all that time? Wait?
That's why people get pissed when they go and lash out at other translation projects. Maybe instead NISA should get their ♥♥♥♥ together and if they're not gonna add anything substantial anyway just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ release the already done translations already?
More like lazy gamers who don't want to read. Localizing a JRPG full of text (well-written text) is incredibly expensive. Since there's no real guarantee many people will even buy this game, we're lucky it even got released in this form to begin with. Damn gamers are never happy, man.
Please, change your name to "Boso" it suits you much better.
Absolutely none, zero, nada, zilch.
I also own the Geofront versions and I also have zero reason to buy the NISA versions for the exact same reason, because NISA cheaped-out and didn't pay for an English dub like they should have done, and which would have changed the situation from a not worth a buy for Geofront owners, to a worth a buy for Geofront owners.
