Start on hard?
Is it a good choice for people already used to the other Trails games on PC? I´m afraid normal might be too easy.

First time with this game and I started on hard. So far I've only had a problem with 1 fight and it was easy to reload and re-think my setup/strategy. It is feeling less difficult to me than TitS hard modes

Games in normal mode are boring.

I played on hard on PsP and found it the most balanced experience I've had with the trails series. If you've got exp with trails series already, starting on hard is a good idea.
Only start on nightmare on the first run if you want to have to redo several times a lot of boss fights.

I believe Zero was the first Trails game to actually be developed with difficulty settings in mind, so it would be the most balanced hard mode. The game was developed with difficulty in mind so it's better scaled than Sky's harder difficulties, and lacks the many, many broken party setups of Cold Steel so it's still legitimately challenging.

Much easier than Sky, much more difficult than Cold Steel. Perfectly doable on a first playthrough.

Yes, hard is the way to go. At least some boss fights will require you ti adjust your positioning and orbments.

OK I kinda got my answer.

In the prologue the stupid brat walks two tiles and is killed in one turn. ROFLMAO

I didn´t quit as eventually I learned to rush both Lloyd and Randy forward while the brat made a smart move away from the monsters. wonder how it will work out in tougher bosses.

It's tough but extremely fair. I found sky really easy on normal but this has me actually thinking things through (in bosses, mobs are still easy)

Extremely easy to do that fight without any of the monsters getting a move. Just have to dash in for the Preemptive Attack first.

That doesn´t work in that fight. It´s a battle started from options box, not enemies roaming the map.

VERY FEW battles involce npc characters. Probably less than 5 in the entire game. And they are indeed THE most difficult part of the game. Mostly require few retries untill you figure it out of get lucky.

I'm playing on Nightmare, and apart from the first tutorial battles, I'm having fun. NO enemy or boss is being absurdly hard so far. Someone said that the Nightmare in this game is like Hard on the Sky series, so I guess they only made Nightmare a true nightmare on Cold Steel. Or the EVO variants, those are absurdly unbalanced on hard XD.

Yes and you get Preemptive Attack for choosing the 1st option.

Maybe, all I know is that the option I chose didn´t give me 1st strike and I had to save the kid ASAP.

it isn't a "maybe", the other option was giving you preemptive strike. 100% sure.
