Konami formula: Higher level = more and more scripting
I REALLY LOVE THIS FANCHISE, BUT THIS GAME JUST MAKE YOU CRAZY!
All of that is called SCRIPT
Yes my cross field passes rarely make it to the other side of the field because for some random reasons, the full bar pass didn't have enough power. You can't give long overhead forward passes for forwards like real life because they rarely make such runs. They just stand there and like you said always in for an aerial battles. They always hide behind the defenders.
In a programm everything is scripted. If there are no lines of code, nothing happens. A click on the menu triggers a script, a pass, an animation, a movement as well... The question is, is there any difficulty adjustment (based on a series of losses, skills differences of opponent, players buyed on the pitch, or coin purchases)? We might think so, but we could also consider that it's the slowness of their servers, lag due to people with poor connections, code quality, etc...
You can feel it when the game has already decided the winner, your team will be much more ruined, they will suddenly be out of position, make a silly blunder, or miss intercept
