Because they could win against AI offline in the past, whereas ever since it became an online game most of them get beaten by better players online again and again. That's why most people are complaining about the game. For me, it's a really good game and fun. I love it when my opponents enjoy my team's celebrations with me. lol

People are unhappy because they want a more realistic game, not arcade, they want a game when u win cuz u are good not cuz game is made for those who buys 99 rating players, they want a game where u need to think not just spam with closed eyes passes, This game is arcade and assisted, no skill gap only players who buys every single epic card and those who doesnt, NO other modes inside except dream team no seasons at least with real teams no co op no master league.
I never liked myclub or dream team or other pay to win modes, not a master league fan either, i just want a mode with real teams and realistic gameplay

Superior players give you an edge but it's not a totally decisive factor. You can still win with an inferior team. I have used my C Team to beat some legandary teams. No skill gap? That's non sense.

You wrong. The main difference that make peoples hate this game is lack of content and worst UX.

I'm fine with gameplay and graphic. Gameplay direction still offer differences than FIFA, although early and current version direction changes. Both game is fun, and I like it because it give options on football games (like NFS and Assetto Corsa, both racing games but have different direction).

But what make me leave this game is lack of content. I'm ok with online playing but not with DT style. I just hope they release authentic teams DLC soon, so we can play online using authentic teams, not DT with many squad consist of many 99 players on it.

Last is UX. Current EX is only fit for mobile device (or touch screen). I don't feel comfort navigate EF using gamepad. They should make mobile and PC/console UX difference, like in PES 2021 and PES Mobile.

nonono, older pes version need internet, they can not play offline.
