Well, that's the Lite Edition. Far from the whole game, missing quite some modes. Sure, if you don't care about them, you're free to go. Actually it's out for a long time already.

OP said Free to play. The full version is discounted right now, the Lite version is free.

I own PES 2021 season update, and maybe Konami as a sign of good faith to the eFootball 2022 players, should make 2021 update free for all, and just patch in an eFootball 2022 season update. Just scrap the default eFootball 2022 all together. I think the bad PR from eFootball 2022 will end up costing Konami more money than they will make with in game microtransactions. In the meantime I'll still be playing 2021 season update, and maybe some of the arcade type soccer games like Rocket League & FIFA.
