Decorating the Store: am I missing something?

I'm on Month 1 Day 12 and just hit Shop Rank 4. I have the maximum floor space, and have been diversifying my Small and Medium Displays (Large Displays take 4 spaces, which seems highly inefficient), but I still have had to devote about a fifth of my space to just throwing goods on the floor, and have a few Small goods literally littering my aisles just to reach Rank 4. Rank 5 needs another 25 points, and I genuinely don't think I have enough space to spam goods everywhere for that many points (not to mention it looks terrible).

I'm not noticing any wall decor to save on space, and I'm not understanding if the "gain more points from X items as decor" perks are even functional, because I still only gain 6 from the first copy, 5 from the next two, and 4 thereafter.

TL;DR - How do I gain sufficient points to hit Max Rank without my store looking like a hoarder's home??

Closing deals and orders gives store points, I reached rank 4 without ever putting crafted items down. So it's just a matter of time, really.

Oh, thank goodness. I already hate how much of a mess my shop is, I look forward to being able to remove some clutter.
