It's still much more generous than Stardew Valley, I guess... but I already miss becoming someone's best friend in 5 minutes of wordlessly harvesting in front of them.
I hope they adjust it later. I get it was a tad too easy but then as there are about 50 folks to level...this cannot be slow. It will only hurt the game when people start putting warnings of being too grindy in their reviews becasue of this.
I haven't seen the "hangout exhaustion" from them...I was the one getting exhausted. XD
I noticed that, too! Experimented a couple of times to make sure that it wasn't just my imagination, but it's very disappointing.
This is probably unrealistic for the scope and time it would take, but I honestly would have preferred if the Hangouts were Persona-esk scripted events. Maybe they’d give you a couple of activities to do, like gathering resources and giving you just a big stack of materials you’d need to craft things they like, or visit other townsfolk, which would build your relationship with them as well.
Even before the patch, hangouts felt a little hollow, only used to quickly build levels.
