Basil just doesn't exist, like CaffeineCloud says I've only seen him browsing my store a few times. That's it. Been checking every timeperiod of every day and he's absolutely nowhere to be seen if he's not buying a toothbrush from me.
I moved (hovered) their house to the other side of the map, waited for them to cross the map, the quickly put their house back and talked to them on their run home. That didn't work either. Just gotta wait for them to randomly wander out, I suppose!
Some of these Paleofolk need serious work on their spawns and schedules.
He'd been sitting in there continuously since moving in but this let me drag him around banging rocks until he was at ♥5.
I don't think this solves Basil or Chico because they simply never appear on the map, but for shopkeepers this may be worth trying when they're at their stalls...?
I'll try it again, though I have his house facing left so I guess that would mean trying from the bottom... or rotating his house.
I'm quickly seeing why less than 2% of people have beaten the game at this point. I just finished the story, the 1 Million Amber, and the Every Resource achievement today, and now it's just finishing inviting people and doing their quests.
