optimization or memory flooding?
When I play, I usually turn off music and put on my own YouTube playlist.
But something strange happens in this game. After about 2 hours or more the game and the music in the background starts to stutter. If I then want to jump back into Windows everything freezes for a few seconds.
I have a pretty good PC that can play any of over 200 games on Ultra. But this game means I can't play and listen to music at the same time... like the RAM is overflowing. How can something so negligent happen? Or is there something else that is wrong with the game?
How can such a lo-tech game + music manage to be more demanding than cyberpunk + 7Days to Die + music on YouTube for 6 hours?
(I had 7Days open in the background for my friends so that they could continue building at the base and played Cyberpunk during it because they didn't feel like playing zombies at the moment and it worked.)

Please fix it. :cure:

i like how op compares a brand new game with a game thats been out for YEARS. thats like me saying how can someone with over 200 games be so completely new to how games work. so baffled by the idea that games are not magically generated and instead take actual work and coding.

please learn how games work.

but to answer such a painfully simple question. yes obviously its zero optimization. had you owned 7 days to die when it first came out it too ran like crap and had zero optimization.

I can understand your thought approach and your rhetorical approach is nice and sweet.
But let me remind you that the game is less complex than e.g. Rimwold(their webseit Version early's),7Day's(A9),Cyberpunk(1.1). its simple like an 80`s point and click adventure. Just with a table strapped behind it to run an economic simulation.

The Unity Engine has now been added to the game because, like Unreal, you can build anything in it.
But I wonder sometimes do you really need a tractor with 24 gears, GPS autopilot and heated seats to carry a plant pot from A to B?
Doesn't that just mean there are more chances of doing something wrong if I have more options?
Doesn't that mean that I now have to search for errors in an infinite number of options?

ah, no idea. I'm going to play something different for a few Months and then hope that when I come back there will be something new and that the game isn't just in early access like so many bad models of early access games in order to test whether there is even a market for it.

Early access was something good to look forward to.
and not just an unfinished game that you're not allowed to play because otherwise you'll spoil the fun of it and then when it's finished after 2 years you'll never play the finished product because you've already finished the game in your head.

ah damn... see you in 1 year. :medidynasty_death:
